Who is Birdie
Birdie is one of the pets of the director. She was found attempting to interact with the neighborhood dogs and a good Samaritan brought her in. A foster quickly turned into adoption. Now she welcomes all of our fosters and in partnership with adopted Hercules they have helped socialize so many dogs to cats.
Why Birdies Buddies?
The Birdies Buddies initiative was started after the reunification with Birdie when she disappeared for 2 months even being chipped, tattooed, and friendly. Birdies Buddies isn’t just an initiative is an invitation. We invite you to become one of Birdies buddies by educating on the importance of chips, getting your pet microchipped, and knowing what to check for first when you find a lost animal. This initiative also hopes to prevent shelter space being unnecessarily taken up by animals who already have owners looking for them.
